Get to know German Cerrato
Germán Cerrato (formerly Herman Cerrato) is an ingenious graphic designer, illustrator, mosaic artist, color theorist, author, and lifelong passionate explorer of the emotional language of color and meaning plus applications. In 2012, driven by curiosity and a deep belief that color could speak more clearly, he redesigned the traditional color wheel. The result was the Universal Color Wheel (originally named Hue Colorlink), a powerful tool created to make understanding and selecting harmonious color combinations easier and more intuitive. His innovation didn’t stop there, Cerrato went on to develop thoughtful and inclusive designs like Nopia, a color wheel created specifically to help understand the color perception and relation of those with color wheel for color blindness and Elementary color wheel, designed for the little one young to understand the relation of color and a beginning into the world of color. Cerrato authored The Impact of the Color Wheel Explained, this 80 pages book clearly explains all the elements of the Universal color wheel and Nopia color blind wheel and also The Meaning and Application of Colors for Business, Graphic, Art, and Color theory—a book deep into the understanding of colors meaning and vastly applications in many fields.
